Hey, Rutter Nation, welcome to another installment of Jerry’s short. This is the short episode where I just jump in with a practical tip, or insight from a previous episode, or just what I feel like needs to be shared with you right now. Now, it’s February, I’ve been talking about healthy marriages all month. And that’s what I plan to do the rest of the month. However, I’ve also got something working along as a project, parallel to everything else going on. And that is a book called Beyond the rut, create a life worth living in your faith, family and career. I’ve been working on this since 2022, maybe 2021. If I’m honest, maybe further back, it’s one of those things that I’ve really dragged my feet on, I was stuck in a rut and getting this book launched. But I drew a line in the sand in 2022. And I decided I’m going to launch this book. And I want to help people who read it, get out of the rut by knowing the rut are you at. So what’s the breakdown of this book are recognize the right you’re in, you understand where it is you want to go, and t take action to get there. It’s a short book, I think, barely 124 pages. So anybody can read this very quickly. Guys, if you’re not much of a reader, just buy a copy, leave it in your bathroom, flip through it every time you go do what you do. And so my hope is, as you read this book, you recognize I am stuck in a rut in some part of my life. And one of my five F’s, my faith, my family, finances, fitness future, any of those areas, and from there, understand where is it I really want to be, and then take action to get there. Because life is really just too short to live stuck in a rut I don’t want you to live in in a rut, who wants to live in a rut kind of sucks. It’s just like me. And you know, our goal in life is not to get to the grave as safely as possible. I feel like our purpose in life is to make as much impact in a positive way to help build up the lives around us. That’s how you make a better world. It’s not taking over government, or running legislation, those things help. However, it’s at the local level, in the families in the communities where we live, when we touch the lives of others, in a positive way, we make the world a better place. And I think to do that it’s really an inside job, you know, shifting your mindset from one of limitations and scarcity, to switching your mindset to one of abundance and growth, you’ll see just things open up for you. And that is what this book does. It takes you on that three step journey to look up, look forward in life and see what’s possible, see what’s possible for yourself, recognize the areas of your own life, we’ve been trying to live up to somebody else’s expectations of what success is, and identify what is your version of success. A lot of us don’t think about that. And the I found myself in that same hole years ago, when I was pursuing a career in medicine. It took four years of college, four and a half years in the Army, and one year on a job outside of the army to recognize I did not want to be a doctor at all. That was somebody else’s dream. That was my mother’s dream. And that was what people expected me to say because I was the so called Smart one in the group. But the reality was, that wasn’t my path. Those weren’t my gifts. Those weren’t my strengths. Those weren’t my passions. What are my passions? Well, I’ve identified them now because of the process I’ve laid out in the book, beyond the rut, create a life worth living in your faith, family and career. I recognize what my strengths are, I recognize what I have passion for, I recognize how I can help others. And I’m doing just that. And I hope the same thing for you. So if you’re listening to this, and you’re thinking, that is awesome, I would love to get my hands on a copy of that book. If you’re listening to this, Jerry short as it comes out, you’re almost there. Just keep that book in mind. Listen to this episode. Again, join my launch team, maybe you can get a free copy, read it, review it, and share it with others. And that’d be amazing. And if you want to be a part of that launch team, go to beyond the rut.com/launch team, fill out the form, let me know your availability, I’ll be able to reach out to you when this book launches, tell you how you can make the most impact for me. And if you really liked the book, share it with others. So there you have it. That’s what I’m working on right now, that book is almost done. And I gotta tell you the feelings I have of accomplishment of taking a big project like this, that was just an idea many, many years ago, and turning it into reality when I saw those cover designs come in to review and give the artists direction. I almost cried guys. I’m not gonna lie. When that manuscript came back to me and it was formatted and the product the project manager said, Hey, take a look at these and these pages and make sure that the spacing is right. The font is right. I almost cried the end to this is becoming a reality. This is something I’ve dreamed of doing. for who knows how long, it’s something that is integrated into everything else I’m doing with the podcast with my business, BTR impact, and so on. And I just got to tell you guys, I feel like I’m living life to the fullest. And you know, it’s a leap of faith in a big way. Could it flop maybe, but if I work hard enough, it won’t. If I get the support, and I’m helping you get what you need, it won’t fail. And I firmly believe that as long as I don’t sit on my laurels, and start playing video games and get cocky, and I always keep an outward mindset, instead, a growth mindset, one of serving others, this will not fail. And if you have a dream similar to that, let me know, my email address is info at beyond the rut.com. Let me know you listen to this episode, and you’re just excited. And I’ll either be able to point you in the right direction. Or somebody keeps bugging me about starting a coaching program. And that may be something I do I have to think about that one because it’s more of an offset of the business and not really the core of the business. But there are people out there that that need that one on one time, and it may be worth it for them. And if I can help people in that way, and I’ve got the time and I can give you high quality coaching. As far as dedication of time, I’ll, I’ll do it. So let me know about that, too. If you’re interested in some coaching one on one to get unstuck in your life or your career. I’ve got it I got an idea in mind. So anyway, let me know about that too. info at beyond the.com. Well, that’s all I’ve got for this Jerry shorts. I’m excited about this book project. It is a project I’ve had on my heart for years. It’s one that I put many months of work and effort into had a lot of professional help to get it done. And I hope this inspires you either to write a book of your own, start a business of your own, do a side gig, live out your dream, whatever it is, as long as it’s aligned with your five apps, and what is on your heart for a successful well lived life. So until next time, guys, go live life beyond the run. Take care
