Why is it Important to Love Your Job?
We spend at least a third of our days in full-time employment. Living in a metropolitan area also adds a 30-minute to 60-minute commute each way.
Doing work you love increases your engagement, productivity, and ultimately your income if you know how to navigate those waters.
Scott shares his personal journey from that first wrong job to now helping people find a career that is right for them. His platform teaches you how to love your work, and by increasing the value you bring to the table to increase the income you bring to your own table.
Doing Work You Love
To be able to do the work you love, you need to be able to first know how to find work you love.
The first step is to identify the life you want. Scott takes time to dive deeper into what this includes. You can then begin to align your work towards the life you want to live.
A Career Change Doesn’t Necessarily Mean Leaving
Changing your current job into work you really love, your own supervisor needs to be your greatest ally.
Scott Barlow discusses with us how you can make a proposal to create work that fits the life you designed. You can’t just start working from home, reduce your hours, or start charging the expense accounts.
Increase Your Income by Asking
Brandon and I ask Scott how to increase your income with a few practical, simple steps. So few people ever actually ask for a raise in their current jobs. Asking is the first half of the battle. This episode covers how to ask and get to a “yes.”
