What Are the Benefits of Knowing Your Strengths with Jenni Schubring – BtR 283

Jenni Schubring is a coach and speaker who helps people know their strengths and values to live their best life.

Jenni Schubring discusses the benefits of knowing your strengths and values to shape the life you want to live beyond the rut.

Conflicts become easier to manage when you are fully aware of your values. Problems become easier to solve when you are aware of your strengths and weaknesses. It’s like writing with your dominant hand. It was a challenge to learn writing as a new skill, yet your teachers identified at an early age there was a hand you found easier to achieve the goal of writing out your name. You can still write with your other hand, but it comes with the need to concentrate, be more deliberate, and it may not turn out the way your dominant hand performs that task. That is what we are talking about when we talk about knowing your strengths.

Knowing Your Strengths

By knowing your strengths, you can leverage them to get the most done at work, understand how you engage with your family, teams, the world in general, and are aware of where you need to flex when it comes to weaknesses.

There are different tools and processes available to help you learn more about yourself and they are discussed by Jenni Schubring in this episode.

Knowing your strengths is not about having an excuse to not perform. It helps to know where you need to make a more concerted effort or leverage the strengths of others who excel in an area where you are weaker. This is why diversity of thought, perspective, and talent is a great thing in teams.

If you are still curious about what is the importance of knowing your strengths, listen to this episode and also read a couple of books that will help you along such as the two listed below.
